I think this is a very good annual with a Mike Pearse Bash Street strip!

So, who's read it? It shows how much time passes between stories being drawn and people getting the book in their Christmas stockings - Lord Snooty, Roger (twice!), Billy Whizz and the Numskulls have all changed artists since the annual was prepared. Minnie's and Dennis's stories had the up to date parent designs, but the classic versions of both of their Dads showed up in other strips (Dennis's in Billy Whizz and Minnie's in Bash Street Kids). Ball Boy and Tricky Dicky are both completely absent.

Bash Street Kids appears in both Dave Sutherland and Mike Pearse versions. One of the DS strips features the old Head, who has retired. I guess he must've got bored considering he's now the school's PE teacher! Another one goes in depth on the Bash Street Flats thing, showing that Plug instead lives near Minnie (it's a two parter, the first ends with Smiffy wondering why Plug doesn't live at the flats, the second is entirely in flashback and explains it). The "he'll have to travel" line from Mr Plugsley was stupid though, as Minnie, Dennis, Roger and the rest all also attend Bash Street School! A minor blight on an otherwise good storyline. The Pearse storyline was good as well.
